Brand: ASUS | Chipset type: Intel Z77 | CPU Socket: LGA1155 | RAM memory size: 32 GB

Asus has never disappointed me, and this time I am back with the Asus SABERTOOTH Z77 DDR3 LGA1155 Motherboard being the premium motherboard for i73770.

It is built with the Z77 chipset, allowing it to have an excellent performance for the latest games. This Motherboard will give you an incredible experience by increasing your computer’s performance, stability, and overall performance.

The board comes with three RAM sticks; they are 32 gigabytes, but with the extra feature of having two slots for dual channel memory. It also has integrated Gigabit Ethernet and other connections, which I will share with you whether they are worth the purchase.

You must use the utility software to get the system up and running. The Asus SABERTOOTH Z77 motherboard is designed to take full advantage of Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge generation processors.
Even though the price might not be premium, the build quality is undoubtedly out of the world. Another thing that I loved here was the thermal armor and radar, which I didn’t find on budget motherboards.

Overall the installation part was a piece of cake. Also, at the same time, BIOS was swift and robust too. However, the dust plate is placed oddly and can be a hassle for some users. Because of the DIGI+ VRM, I could have this Motherboard run to the fullest without any bottlenecks or glitches.

Brand: ASUS | Chipset type: Intel Z77 | CPU Socket: LGA1155 | Memory speed: 1600 MHz

Here I have another ASUS motherboard that lies in the middle range in terms of price, but guys, by no means is the performance compromised here. ASUS P8Z77-V-PRO is one of the best Motherboards for i7 3770 that combines superior power management technology, multi-core support, innovative design.

an enhanced BIOS interface to create an elegant, powerful and efficient solution for the enthusiast.
I would recommend this Motherboard to almost anyone who wants top-notch connectivity. It also offers the best connectivity, including USB 3.0, SATA 6Gb/s, HDMI, DVI, and Display Port for versatile multimedia applications.

Additionally, I found the ASUS P8Z68-V-E2 motherboard well optimised for extreme overclocking with dual onboard audio ICs that offer high-quality stereo sound for surround-sound gaming or music.

I tried overclocking it up to 4.2 GHz, and the results were smooth, without any bugs. Plus, the temperature remained stable, which was another huge accomplishment. Also, the overclocking process was straightforward, so I have no complaints.

For the ultimate performance and expandability, this board also includes a PCI Express x16 slot with a bandwidth of up to 512 MB/s that can be used as a PCI Express graphics card.

With support for quad-channel DDR3 memory on four channels, up to 1696 MB of system memory, and advanced technologies like Wi-Fi and eSATA, the P8Z68-V is the most powerful and innovative Z77 chipset available.

Some things that I would like to get fixed for the future are to include the mSATA drivers next time because they are not on this one. Another thing I found missing was the power/reset/clear CMOS buttons, but then I think the performance is high end so we can compromise on this stuff.

Best Motherboard For i7 3770

Brand: ASRock | CPU Socket: LGA1155 | Chipset type: Intel Z77 express | RAM memory size: 32 GB

Getting a processor on a budget doesn’t mean you would be unable to play games on it. To cater to every one of my follower’s needs, I have included different motherboards here according to their purpose.

I have tried my luck on the ASRock Z77 EXTREME6 Motherboard for gamers on a budget, and it hasn’t disappointed me. I found this Z77 as the best choice for gamers and overclockers with its latest DDR3 Memory Technology.

It also has dual SATA 6GB/s ports and plenty of D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI, and display ports. It has a 4+1 power phase design for stable and reliable power output.

I had zero issues in terms of connectivity thanks to the Gigabit Ethernet interface, two USB 2.0 ports, six USB 3.0 ports, two Firewire interfaces, and an integrated front panel header, making it the ultimate high-performance gaming platform.

The Z77 Extreme6 is the successor to the popular Z77 chipset, designed to bring improved performance and a better feature set to mainstream desktop and notebook platforms.

Since it has so many ports and slots, I had to put it to the test. So I started with overclocking. It worked awesomely. I could have it run stable at 3.5 GHz, and everything worked well. Now, if I talk about the VRM design here, it is not high-end, but still, it is somehow improved than its sibling Extreme4. Honestly, it doesn’t get hot or slightly warm but works best. I had no additional coolers installed here, and I was happy.

BIOS was straightforward to understand and manage at the same time. Accessibility of BIOS is what excites me the most, and here I was overly satisfied with the feature. Also, here you get to have triple video card compatibility so that you will have an excellent gaming experience.

Let me share some of the drawbacks I wasn’t fond of now. One of the first things was the price, and it is not extremely expensive but still comes at a cost that isn’t normal for motherboards for i7 3770. And even though the price was high, I still got an average performance, like it was not something that might be out of the world.

Also, the manufacturers could have used one more USB 3.0 motherboard header. The performance is still okay, but the usage would have been much better if there were another USB 3.0 header!

Easy to configure BIOS

Dual channelling

3 way cross fire

Good looking

Average performance

Limited USB 3.0 motherboard header

ASRock Z77 EXTREME6 Motherboard is the best choice for gamers with its latest DDR3 Memory Technology, Dual Channel DDR3 memory, and dual SATA 6GB/s ports. However, guys, do remember the performance here is average and not high-end, so beware!

Everything worked well except for the installation; it was a pain. Like it took me some 2-3 hours to put this Motherboard into its final position.

Another thing that bothered me was the limited fan ports. Like this thing fires up, and having a few more fan ports might have helped it to cool down more effectively. But then again, an aftermarket cooler can also do the work for you!

BIOS here was easy and not something complex that I could not understand. Additionally, I liked how it had instructions in every language, and overall I am satisfied with a motherboard at this price range.

Asus Maximus V Gene

Best Motherboard For i7 3770 Under For Gaming

Brand: ASUS | CPU Socket: LGA1155 | Chipset type: Intel B75 | RAM memory size: 32 GB

Sometimes the high-end picks are just out of the world in terms of performance, while other times, the high-end components might make you waste your money. The Asus MAXIMUS V GENE is one of the best high-end Motherboards for i7 3770.

The Motherboard offers the ultimate performance in the most stylish design for gaming and everyday use. It delivers high-quality components, advanced audio/video performance, and connectivity options, including USB Type-C ports; I have used it so far.

Built with ASUS X99 Chipset motherboards, it comes equipped with ASUS Aura Lighting, which automatically adjusts and synchronises colours and brightness to match your moods, and ASUS Game Plus, which can detect your favourite games. Now aesthetics don’t excite me, but I was somehow amazed here!

Additionally, the X99 has a unique cooling system that combines five heat pipes, a large heatsink with fan control, and a power supply. Its enhanced security features include intelligent energy saving, hardware-based UEFI BIOS lockout, and a dedicated GPU overclocking protection.

The installation part was simple, and I guess even beginners can try their hands on it. And overclocking, I had no issues while running the system at 4.6 GHz. Overall you guys already know how much I love high-end motherboards for their overclocking capability, and the X99 didn’t disappoint me either.

And guys, not to forget the BIOS here; gosh, there are so many features here. Like, you get to have loads and loads of settings, and the interface is way too friendly to use, so technically, I am in love with this Motherboard.

But one thing I didn’t like here was the limited temperature monitoring with the X99. Because of this, I couldn’t regulate the temperatures properly, and sometimes, the CPU would turn hot. But here, what aftermarket coolers can be effective?

I didn’t find anything odd about this one except the monitoring software; it was easy, but again, it was a bit clumsy, and I guess it would be a hassle to manage it properly for beginners. Other than that, I am totally in love with the performance, and if I ever get to have extra money, I will splurge on this one!

A proper balance between power and software

Best Chipset

Clumsy utility software

The Asus MAXIMUS VII GENE series offers the ultimate performance in the most stylish design for gaming and everyday use. It delivers high-quality components, advanced audio/video performance, and connectivity options, including USB Type-C ports. I found the price expensive, but guys, you get what you pay for, and the top-notch version here!

Best Motherboard For i7 3770

Brand: ASUS | CPU Socket: LGA1155 | Chipset type: Intel B75 Express | Memory capacity: 32GB

I am ending today’s post of the best motherboards for i7 3770 with the ASRock B460M-HDV. According to many PC experts, this Motherboard is one of the best budget motherboards for the i7 3770, and I will share whether this one is worth the shot.

The B460M has four DDR4 DIMM slots with a dual channel configuration. It supports a maximum of 128GB RAM modules for the Motherboard. It is built using high-quality materials like copper and aluminium to give you the best performance.

Installation is okay; however, I am not happy to have the rear I/O panel plain. Overall this is a budget board. I would not recommend using it for overclocking because this Motherboard might give you decent performance, but overclocking would be an overkill here.

Now coming towards the most hectic part, the BIOS, as you all know how much I wouldn’t say I like tacky BIOS, and I always look forward to one that is easy to use. The BIOS here was buggy, and I had issues with this one. I guess that’s just okay with budget boards.

Also, a big turnoff for me was the lack of onboard Wi-Fi here. I had to purchase a connectivity card to run Wi-Fi over this board. You guys can also buy a dongle or Wi-Fi card separately with this one!

Stable operation

Easy to assemble

Outstanding chipset

No onboard Wi-Fi

I/O panel is plain

ASRock B460M-HDV Motherboard is a perfect pick for gamers as it supports the latest DDR4 memory technology. It’s a well-designed motherboard with good performance and unique features at an affordable price. Overall this is not a motherboard I would suggest for heavy-duty purposes, but it is an excellent motherboard for casual use!

factors to consider before buying best motherboards for i7 3700

Here are few of the important things you need to consider before purchasing the best motherboards for i7 3770.

RAM Size

For a good working system you need to purchase a motherboard that has at least 8 GB of ram size. For most of the games might use around 6 GB even while intense gaming sessions. However, if you want something to future-proof your system then you might get along well with the 16 GB RAM. In terms of performance we suggest going for 8 GB RAM anything higher than that might be waste of money and would cause no considerable benefit.

What if you purchase a motherboard that has limited sockets? You will end up not using your most important features. And we surely know you never want that to happen.

Make sure the motherboard you are going to purchase has enough slots. Besides, do have a check whether the motherboard has essential sockets available or not. Also, make sure your system sockets are compatible with the motherboard’s one.

Choosing a chipset was once a great way of selecting the best board for your computer, but over the past few years, CPUs have evolved to the point where they can often replace motherboards and their functionality. The CPU has also become increasingly powerful, which means it has taken more and more functionality away from the board.

While some people may see the CPU as more of a bottleneck than the chipset, the reality is that the chipset has a direct influence on the features and performance the CPU can offer. It’s critical to keep this in mind when choosing a motherboard for a new build.

Form Factor

Motherboards come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but the most common is the ATX form factor. Other common form factors include mini-ITX, micro-ATX, and standard ATX. Motherboards are usually made to fit the size of the computer case that will hold them, so they often vary slightly in size, depending on their intended use.

ATX motherboards are typically used for desktops, small-to-mid-size computers, and some mid-to-large-size computers, such as workstations. Mini-ITX motherboards are designed to be smaller than ATX motherboards, while micro-ATX motherboards are designed to be smaller than mini-ITX motherboards. What form factor you go for depends totally on your personal preference.

To summarise, the i7 3770 is the only CPU we’ve tested that could easily beat it in a single-threaded game. A motherboard is an essential part of a system. For your system to work efficiently, you need to purchase a well-built motherboard. I have compiled 7 of the best motherboards for i7 3770 out of the world. Hopefully, you have already decided on which Motherboard to go with. If not yet, then let me share my personal favourite with you.
