Additionally, I found the ASUS P8Z68-V-E2 motherboard well optimised for extreme overclocking with dual onboard audio ICs that offer high-quality stereo sound for surround-sound gaming or music.

I tried overclocking it up to 4.2 GHz, and the results were smooth, without any bugs. Plus, the temperature remained stable, which was another huge accomplishment. Also, the overclocking process was straightforward, so I have no complaints.

Getting a processor on a budget doesn’t mean you would be unable to play games on it. To cater to every one of my follower’s needs, I have included different motherboards here according to their purpose.

I have tried my luck on the ASRock Z77 EXTREME6 Motherboard for gamers on a budget, and it hasn’t disappointed me. I found this Z77 as the best choice for gamers and overclockers with its latest DDR3 Memory Technology.

It also has dual SATA 6GB/s ports and plenty of D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI, and display ports. It has a 4+1 power phase design for stable and reliable power output.

I had zero issues in terms of connectivity thanks to the Gigabit Ethernet interface, two USB 2.0 ports, six USB 3.0 ports, two Firewire interfaces, and an integrated front panel header, making it the ultimate high-performance gaming platform.

The Z77 Extreme6 is the successor to the popular Z77 chipset, designed to bring improved performance and a better feature set to mainstream desktop and notebook platforms.

Since it has so many ports and slots, I had to put it to the test. So I started with overclocking. It worked awesomely. I could have it run stable at 3.5 GHz, and everything worked well.Now, if I talk about the VRM design here, it is not high-end, but still, it is somehow improved than its sibling Extreme4. Honestly, it doesn’t get hot or slightly warm but works best. I had no additional coolers installed here, and I was happy.

BIOS was straightforward to understand and manage at the same time. Accessibility of BIOS is what excites me the most, and here I was overly satisfied with the feature. Also, here you get to have triple video card compatibility so that you will have an excellent gaming experience.

Let me share some of the drawbacks I wasn’t fond of now. One of the first things was the price, and it is not extremely expensive but still comes at a cost that isn’t normal for motherboards for i7 3770. And even though the price was high, I still got an average performance, like it was not something that might be out of the world.

Also, the manufacturers could have used one more USB 3.0 motherboard header. The performance is still okay, but the usage would have been much better if there were another USB 3.0 header!

Everything worked well except for the installation; it was a pain. Like it took me some 2-3 hours to put this Motherboard into its final position.

Another thing that bothered me was the limited fan ports. Like this thing fires up, and having a few more fan ports might have helped it to cool down more effectively. But then again, an aftermarket cooler can also do the work for you!

BIOS here was easy and not something complex that I could not understand. Additionally, I liked how it had instructions in every language, and overall I am satisfied with a motherboard at this price range.

Overall you guys already know how much I love high-end motherboards for their overclocking capability, and the X99 didn’t disappoint me either.

And guys, not to forget the BIOS here; gosh, there are so many features here. Like, you get to have loads and loads of settings, and the interface is way too friendly to use, so technically, I am in love with this Motherboard.

But one thing I didn’t like here was the limited temperature monitoring with the X99. Because of this, I couldn’t regulate the temperatures properly, and sometimes, the CPU would turn hot. But here, what aftermarket coolers can be effective?

I didn’t find anything odd about this one except the monitoring software; it was easy, but again, it was a bit clumsy, and I guess it would be a hassle to manage it properly for beginners. Other than that, I am totally in love with the performance, and if I ever get to have extra money, I will splurge on this one!

I am ending today’s post of the best motherboards for i7 3770 with the ASRock B460M-HDV. According to many PC experts, this Motherboard is one of the best budget motherboards for the i7 3770, and I will share whether this one is worth the shot.

The B460M has four DDR4 DIMM slots with a dual channel configuration. It supports a maximum of 128GB RAM modules for the Motherboard. It is built using high-quality materials like copper and aluminium to give you the best performance.

Installation is okay; however, I am not happy to have the rear I/O panel plain. Overall this is a budget board. I would not recommend using it for overclocking because this Motherboard might give you decent performance, but overclocking would be an overkill here.

Now coming towards the most hectic part, the BIOS, as you all know how much I wouldn’t say I like tacky BIOS, and I always look forward to one that is easy to use. The BIOS here was buggy, and I had issues with this one. I guess that’s just okay with budget boards.

Also, a big turnoff for me was the lack of onboard Wi-Fi here. I had to purchase a connectivity card to run Wi-Fi over this board. You guys can also buy a dongle or Wi-Fi card separately with this one!
