The fan control you get with this motherboard is awesome overall; it was helping me to get rid of heat in no time. I overclocked this one at 4.8 GHz, and the temperature remained between 60 to 65 degrees, which was a huge plus point.

Even though the Wi-Fi card comes equipped over this one, I didn’t find it strong, and I had to use a dongle to fetch strong internet signals. Another thing that I liked was the four slots of RAM, which are fabulous.

Okay, so for those in love with high-end PC builds, I would suggest going for the ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E as it is one of the best high-end motherboards for RTX 2070.

According to the specification sheet, the Z370-E chipset supports PCIe Gen3 x16/x8 slots and supports up to 64GB of DDR4 memory. Tests and trials in a while will prove whether this motherboard can withstand the hype or not.

Okay, I had no issue with the installation part because I have mastered the art of getting different motherboards to work. However, guys, the manual it comes with is useless, and I guess you have to learn how to install this one. But overall, you would have zero issues while installing the Z370-E.

I tried overclocking this one up to 4.9 GHz, and I had a good time using it; everything worked perfectly fine here. The BIOS was also easy to navigate and overclocked most of the time.

There was no temperature rise all this time, which made me say yes to this one. The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectors in the box are pretty good and work perfectly fine.

I didn’t like the absence of indicator lights on the board; in case of troubleshooting, you would not be able to find the issue. As I was paying a huge price, I wanted to have this feature on this motherboard.

WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE THIS MOTHERBOARD?

ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E is my best choice as a motherboard for RTX 2070 because the BIOS is easy to understand, the UEFI is friendly, the RGB is decent looking, and the motherboard is easy to assemble, and there are no negative sides. However, the troubleshoot indicators are lacking here, but that wasn’t a huge turnoff for me.

While playing games, I noticed an extra boost to the sound because of the specialized audio boost this motherboard has. The overclocking part was easy for me, and I overclocked it up to 4 GHz.

There are no heating-up issues here thanks to the gaming heatsinks; this motherboard was able to get rid of heat in no time. Oh, and the BIOS was simple to handle and did no troubleshooting.

One thing I didn’t like here was the limited control of the fans on this motherboard. Like I do understand that this is a budget gaming motherboard for RTX 2070, still, it would have performed much better with better fan control.

Another thing I hate the most, which some of you might not object to here, was the flashy RGB LED all over the board. Guys, this was extremely annoying, and I didn’t know why they would put up so much RGB on a piece of the motherboard.

The MSI Z370 was overall a good experience. For a budget gaming motherboard, I am going to purchase this one. I had some tiny issues with this one, but that doesn’t mean I am not going to buy this one. First, I didn’t like the limited fan control, but I added an aftermarket cooler to my CPU, and it works fine now for me. Another thing was the excessive use of RGB, but again it left me unbothered because the performance, in the end, is all that matters to me.

With this motherboard overclocking was a breeze for me. I overclocked this system up to 4.1 GHz and had zero issues. Also, the built-in cooling mechanism worked fine for me to dissipate the heat quickly in no time.

Besides being capable of extreme overclocking, this motherboard also comes with the latest technologies, such as two M.2 slots, USB 3.2 Gen2, and AMD Stormi. One thing I found odd was the odd placement of the chipset fan that directly sits under the GPU. During my whole 27 years of life, I didn’t understand why a chipset would need a fan; maybe the manufacturers would like to answer this question in the future.

ASUS ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero is a great choice for 1080p and 1440p gaming, especially if you plan to overclock your system. Everything about this motherboard was exciting for me except for the price tag, but then guys, this many features would cost you a lot. Other than the odd placement of the chipset fan, everything was perfect with the X570.

Here I introduce you to the premium motherboard for RTX 2070, the MSI MEG X570. When I tell you guys this is a premium motherboard, trust me, it is without any doubt!

The new chips are built on a new 14nm FinFET process and offer higher clock speeds (with lower TDP) compared to their predecessors. This means you will get a better gaming experience with fewer problems.

It has a DDR4 memory slot, enough for RTX 2070 or even RTX 2080 SUPER. Additionally, the Godlike X570 can support up to 128 GB of DDR4 memory; that is some amazing thing about this one. I will share with you guys in a while whether it can withstand the tests of the time or not.

The design and finish are also very impressive and come in various colors. It comes with an onboard AMD GPU and 6× SATA 6 Gbps ports, Triple M.2, USB 3.2, AX Wi-Fi 6, and 10G LAN. It is also bundled with the latest software drivers for both Intel and AMD platforms.

For me, the installation was just okay, not too good, not too bad. The BIOS was easy to flash as well, but it might be a tricky task for beginners who are just starting to set up bios.

Even though the MSI MED x570 comes with a premium price tag, it still is worth every penny. First of all, I am going to talk about the dial-up overclocking knob it comes with. Now, you can overclock your system just by rotating this knob.

Plus, I am in total awe of the high-end networking support this one has. It proves that your investment is in the right place. Also, there is add-on storage and NIC cards option, which I love. Even under heavy load, the X590 was running way too cool. It still supplies plenty of power but doesn’t get too hot.

Now coming towards some of the not applauded things about this motherboard. The one thing that was annoying for me was the issues I faced while accessing the utility software.

Another major concern was that the port choices on the rear panel were questionable. We know it is a high-end motherboard, but that doesn’t mean it would have ports in every other possible location.

WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE THIS MOTHERBOARD?

The MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE will give you a stable and good gaming experience. This is the best motherboard if you are looking for a gaming motherboard with a solid base and a great design. Some of the not-so-good things about this motherboard are that it is extremely expensive, and you can get better performance at a price less than that!

GIGABYTE X570 I AORUS PRO WIFI

If you have that mITX case and none of the motherboards seems to fit in, get yourself the Gigabyte AORUS Pro Wi-Fi, as it is one of the best mITX motherboards for RTX 2070.

In my opinion, this is the most powerful and well-equipped Intel Celeron motherboard available today. It’s built for gamers and everyday users who want to take their PC gaming experience to the next level.

This Gigabyte AORUS Pro Wi-Fi motherboard offers great features such as a dual channel DDR4, 2x DIMMs memory, 1x PCIe 4.0, 2x M.2 heatsinks, Intel LAN, Wi-Fi 6, and AMP-UP Audio.

Overclocking this one wasn’t fun; it was a bit complex for me to manage the setup, and I would not consider it for beginners to try their hands on it. Additionally, the installation part was tricky as well, and guys here, I was on the verge of getting rid of this motherboard, but then again, I tried, and fortunately, it worked.

When you don’t consider overclocking this motherboard, it will run fine as wine and won’t get hot at any cost. Additionally, it offers excellent stability, a robust feature set, and a stylish appearance. GIGABYTE has also equipped this board with high-quality audio components for a superior audio playback experience

WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE THIS MOTHERBOARD?

Get the Gigabyte X570 AORUS PRO WIFI only if you are not expecting high-end gaming or editing tasks on this one. Even though it offers a lot, I would not suggest going for this one because setting it up in the right frequency is a trouble, and trust me; nobody would want to go through that anyway unless you want a motherboard for normal daily-life work!

MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard

One of the best mid-range motherboards for the RTX 2060 is the B450 TOMAHAWK MAX II. Although the B450 is a mid-range gaming motherboard, it nevertheless offers performance that makes it worthwhile to spend the money.

The B450 comes with many overclocking features that help guarantee you have the best possible experience. Using the advanced overclocking features, I could easily overclock the memory to 2133 MHz for better performance.

With advanced features such as multiple PCI-E lanes, M.2 storage, Killer DoubleShot Pro networking, and an array of digital audio outputs, this powerful new design is a beast for gaming.

I can now see why gamers adore the B450; it really lives up to the hype. Along with the AMD B450 chipset, DDR4 compatibility, a PCI Express 3.0 slot, six USB 4.0 ports, an M.2 (multimedia card) interface, an 8-channel audio jack, and more, it also has these features.

You might be wondering how the thermals worked here, as I indicated at the beginning that I overclocked this one. In essence, the motherboard, in this case, has six fan headers, and when I connected my CPU coolers to them, the heat dissipation was incredibly efficient.

Except for the absence of an additional M.2 slot, this motherboard met all my requirements. The lack of a different M.2 slot may not bother many of you, but it was a huge turnoff for me as a gamer.

In terms of installation, the process was swift and straightforward. The motherboard’s robust construction ensures it remains resistant to bending and other impacts, making it one of my favorite features.
